How to install Scala plugins in Eclipse in Ubuntu

Once Eclipse in installed Go to help-> Install New Software

Copy the Update Site url from the website which is below in our case

Click on add and then provide custom name and paste the url & Click on Add

Select all and click on Next

Accept the terms and click on Finish

Eclipse will start installing the plugins On bottom corner you can track the progress

Testing installation

3. Select “File” — “New” — “Scala Object” to create a new object

4. Enter Hello as the name for the object

5. Change the source code to the one given below

object Hello extends App{println(“Hello World”)}

6. Save the file and select from the top menu bar, “Run” -> “Run as” -> “Scala Application”

You should see a the hello world output in the Eclipse console:
