Tangram to help in design thinking

The tangram is a dissection puzzle comprising of seven flat shapes of one parallelogram, one square and five triangles, each individual piece is called as a tan, which are put together to form shapes. The motive of the puzzle is to form a specific silhouette of an object using all seven pieces, which should not overlap. It originated in China and then carried over to Europe by trading ships in the early 19th century. It became very popular in Europe, and then again during World War I as favorite pass time of soldiers in trenches. It is one of the earliest psychological test in the world”

They help us to understand how we can perceive and structure a specific data using geometric shapes. Data can be interpreted in various angles, which helps us to view a problem or a situation from a different perspective, so do tangrams.
