What is Global warming? What can we do about it?

The science of Global warming is extremely complex and the solution pertaining to it may be very thorny. In most cases, things may not always be as they appear to be.

When we think of Global warming, car is generally the first thing that comes into our mind. And we believe that it contributes an ungloldly share to greenhouse gases. This led to some moral righteous people to buy hybrid cars or electric cars in hope that they will reduce global warming. But the car owners don’t take into consideration the amount of pollution the car is causing during its course of production. So even if a person thinks he is cancelling out his share, there are still environmental debts left to pay.

In most countries, electric cars are exempted from many taxes that are imposed on fuel car so in the long run, electric cars may be contributing more to global warming.

But the above cases holds true and relevant only in metropolitan cities that have immense number of cars.

When we think collectively of the world, it’s actually not the car that contributes more to global warming but the food habits we indulge in — dairy products.

So, instead of buying an electric car we should reduce global demand for dairy products. In that way we can cut down the population of cows and other cud chewing animals.

But as the global population hurdles towards 8 billion, it becomes very difficult to cut down the demand or even control it remotely.

Some scientists even suggested gradual depopulation of the earth although it is uncouth to say.

We cannot predict with any certainty what the future might hold. But if we keep check of the population, we might be able to beat Global warming.

There are also other solutions suggest by some scientists and inventors from “Intellectual Venture” An invention company. The most prominent one is cooling the earth by injecting sulphur dioxide into the stratosphere, emulating a volcanic eruption.

When volcanoes erupts, it sends millions of tonnes of sulphur dioxide far into the stratosphere. Climate scientists found out that days are actually cooler right after volcanic eruptions.

When it comes to global warming there are many grey areas we need to consider before offering a solution. We should consider all the variables before taking any decision whatsoever.
