Global Warming And What Big Companies Need To Do About It

Global warming is at an all time high these days and the effects of it are visible in our daily lives. The erratic weather changes, intense snowfall in areas where it barely snows, excessive rains in cities where it barely rains, increase in hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes are examples of the effects of global warming. Due to our over consumption of natural resources at an alarming rate, we have damage our ozone layer which allows harsh UV rays to entire the earth’s atmosphere which ultimately causes these terrible natural disasters. Or should we say, man-made disasters?

There are a lot of simple ways in which companies can ensure that they protect their environment and their eco system such as -

Recycling products
It is essential for companies to create products that can be recycled and reused which will drastically reduce the amount of wastes that their brand produces. This will also create awareness amongst the customers about recycling and reuse products.

Treating wastes
A lot of companies even today, do not treat their waste according to the global standards of treating factory wastes before dumping. This causes water and soil pollution which further effects the crops and the climate along with damaging people’s health across the world due to the contamination levels.

Using green energy
Instead of using natural resources for the companies and factories, the brands should invest into green energy sources like wind energy, solar energy, hydro electricity and so on. This will drastically reduce the overall pollution levels which are mainly cause by factories.

Battery operated vehicles
Automobile companies need to invest in green cars which can be battery operated instead of using petrol, diesel or gasoline. This will help to conserve our natural resources as reduce the amount of smoke and gases produced from the automobiles due to the consumption of these natural resources.

Apart from these steps, large scale brands and multinational corporations should make it a point to educate their employees about different ways in which they can make the shift towards a greener planet. It could start with basic employee training exercises and employee programs such as tree plantation drives, banning plastic at work, sending emails instead of printing out talking points and such basic tips that can help create awareness within the organization itself.
