My Uncertain Leap Into Big California

A so called secret life of a Walter Mitty

Since 2016 things were a struggle for me. They slid down hill, rapidly. It was a combination of our social/political climate and my own unwillingness to change my habits, both personal and work.

I could get into the details, but I’d much prefer to describe my current changes.

I live in Utica, NY, an economically depressed town with an approximate 60,000 population. Its a city famous for Half Moons (pastries), tomato pie (sort of like pizza) and greens Morelle (after chef Joe Morelle).

I am a coder. So I code and code and code and code and code. Get the picture? Something was missing, the networking part, the making friends part, the enjoying outside part…..aaaaand the having a life part. Boy I was a screw-up.

Until I began to hate my life. I did projects, but not big projects.

I built websites, but not large scale websites. Get the picture? So all I wanted to do was wipe the board clean and perform a Do-over. Just work and live a completely different way.

I was crazed. I was moody. Sometimes I was furious. Know what happens when you become all these things?
